Thinking Through Paint.

Meg Walch is a Tasmanian artist. For more than 35 years, she has explored the fluid, viscous and plastic properties of paint to discover what this medium can reveal about how we see, how we know, and how we make sense of an unstable world. Through a material-led studio practice, she treats painting as a form of thinking in which matter, perception and meaning continually shift and transform to unsettle assumptions, open new ways of seeing and give form to what is not yet known. Her paintings invite us to question what we take for reality, opening onto a world more fluid, strange and mysterious than we might imagine.
