Dr. Meg Walch is a Tasmanian artist and educator based in Lutruwita/Tasmania. With more than thirty years of experience exhibiting and working in Australia and internationally. Her practice is driven by curiosity, experimentation, and ongoing learning.
Meg draws upon the fluid and transformative qualities of painting and drawing media to explore our capacity to adapt to constant change.
Her work combines abstraction and figuration, influenced by visual traditions from both Europe and South East Asia. Meg’s artistic research and ideas have been shaped through residencies and projects in Europe, the United States, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Tokyo, and Tasmania.
Meg’s current activities include: exhibiting, teaching, public-speaking and consultation.
