Tasmanian Artist - Educator - Consultant

Dr. Meg Walch is a Tasmanian Painter who exploits the extreme plastic conditions of her medium. She mixes abstraction and figuration to cross cultural and aesthetic boundaries of form; drawing on pictorial traditions from Europe and South East Asia.   Meg’s activities include public speaking, exhibiting, teaching workshops and consulting from her Hobart studio and off site. Meg has thirty years of experience in the visual arts both in Australia and internationally. Her work and research interests have evolved through undertaking residencies in the United States, Paris, Taipei, Thailand, Tokyo, South Korea and Tasmania.

Workshops and Classes at Studio Giblin

Creative Workshops at Studio Giblin are designed as accelerants to peoples’ artistic practices, focusing on technical skills and frameworks for sustaining creative practice and problem solving . Meg Walch hosts small groups in her private painting studio and permaculture garden.
